Priscila Bala Named Mentor Director at Yale Entrepreneurial Institute

Priscila Bala ’06, SOM ’14 has been named the new mentor director at the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute. She will assume the leadership role in connecting ventures to experienced advisors and in expanding Yale’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

An entrepreneur and business professional with experience in investment banking, fundraising, and business development, Bala was most recently a business strategy consultant and founding partner of a genomic diagnostics venture. She has taught executive courses on behavioral economics, negotiations, and competitive strategy.

Bala is a fellow of the Yale Center for Customer Insights and was also an assistant director of major gifts at Yale, fundraising for the university’s capital initiatives. She has served on various nonprofit boards and is an advocate for financial literacy, access to education, the arts, and the outdoors.

Brita Belli

Brita Belli is the Communications Officer for the Office of Cooperative Research and the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute. Prior to joining OCR, Brita was an editor and freelance writer whose work has appeared on the websites of the New York Times, National Geographic, the Union of Concerned Scientists, Environmental Health News, MSN.com, Alternet.com, as well as in many print publications. She is the author of The Autism Puzzle: Connecting the Dots Between Environmental Toxins and Rising Autism Rates (Seven Stories Press).
